The S40C dual system Cor Anglais is Howarth's graduate model and is suitable for advanced students and professionals alike. It has a conservatoire keywork system with a thumbplate to make a “dual system” instrument. It has keys for almost every trill and produces a rich, mellow tone. With a traditional Grenadilla (also known as African Blackwood) body, this is an ideal instrument for the advanced player.
The instrument has many sophisticated and advanced features, such as the metal-tipped tenons with lined tenon sockets, right hand C-D trill Ab/Bb, Ab/A and lowC/C# trills, 3rd Octave key fitted as standard, and left hand F fitted as standard.
The S40C is supplied with a single case with one crook and accessories.
