Portable recorders from Zoom – easy to use with plenty of advanced features

The H4E is the is a very popular portable recording device from Zoom. It is suitable for all types of recording situations – from loud gigs to subtle wildlife recordings. You can even record up to four tracks by connecting two external mics and combining with the X/Y stereo mics provided. 

Tascam Pocket studios

Portable, compact and easy to use we have three pocket studios from Tascam which can be used for recording music. Each with two XLR mic inputs and weighing less than 1.5kg these ‘Pocket studios’ are a great idea for travelling musicians or podcasters who need a reliable, lightweight recorder to take with them on the go without taking up space.

The DP-006 6-track digital pocket studio records with great CD quality and features two condenser microphones directly in the front for recording vocals or acoustic guitar anytime without the need for extra equipment or set-up time. If you would like a more advanced pocket studio with 8 mono tracks then Chamberlain also offers the Tascam DP-008EX and the DP-03SD 8-track recorders which both have two line inputs.
