Music therapy activities can use musical instruments to explore sound, rhythm, movement and interaction. The collection includes percussion and other instruments that can be used in different ways, from simple rhythm activities and sound exploration to more structured musical sessions. These include hand percussion, drums and tuned instruments, allowing sessions to incorporate different sounds, textures and playing techniques.

The range includes ready-made music therapy percussion packs as well as the individual instruments, giving therapists and educators options for different types of sessions. The Percussion Plus music therapy kit is specifically designed for sensory and music therapy groups as well as KS1 and KS2 educational use, and combines instruments selected to provide responses through sound and sight.

SEND settings can also benefit from choosing instruments that offer different ways to participate in musical activities. Percussion can be used for rhythm work, sound exploration and group playing, while instruments with distinctive sounds or straightforward playing techniques can add variety to sessions. The collection therefore provides options for music therapists, SEND departments and educators looking to build a varied selection of instruments for inclusive musical activities.
