Sales and Customer Support Administrator

About the Role

We’re seeking a highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive individual to join our friendly and supportive team in our office-based role at Haslemere. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines customer care, order processing, sales administration and business support.

You’ll be dealing with a wide range of customers — from teachers and musicians to parents and school bursars — while working closely with our Sales, Finance, Operations and Marketing teams to keep everything running smoothly.

This is an ideal role for someone with strong administrative skills, a customer-first mindset and a natural attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Sales Administration inbox, prioritising tasks efficiently and ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound calls, emails and web chat enquiries.
  • Communicate directly with customers, offering friendly and knowledgeable advice on musical instruments and equipment.
  • Process orders, generate clear and competitive quotes, and manage service orders from sale through to invoicing.
  • Attend sales meetings and provide administrative support to the wider Sales team.
  • Liaise with internal departments to help resolve customer queries and issues.
  • Open and manage customer support tickets via webchat and other platforms.
  • Maintain accurate customer, order and service records.
  • Support interdepartmental projects and contribute to improvements in operational efficiency.

Desirable Experience

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in an administrative role.
  • Previous experience in sales administration is advantageous.
  • Experience in direct customer communication (in person, by phone, email or webchat).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

The role

We’re seeking a highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive individual to join the friendly and supportive team in our Haslemere office. This is a varied and rewarding in-person role that combines photography, product listing creation, and written content.

You’ll be dealing with our e-commerce web platforms, with an opportunity develop specialisms according to the needs of the business.

This is an ideal role for someone with strong IT skills, excellent written English and comprehension skills and a natural attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the e-commerce team to create and manage product listings that are accurate, compelling, and consistently presented across all e-commerce platforms
  • Take high-quality product and lifestyle photographs, to process and retouch to a professional standard
  • Research and write product descriptions and other written content as required
  • Attend departmental meetings and provide administrative support to the wider team
Role requirements
  • Strong IT skills, comfortable and proficient with computers and online platforms
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • Strong written communication skills, fast and accurate typist
  • Able to prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines

You’ll take responsibility for product-led copy across our sites, including new product releases and product page content, and lead the creation of blog content for our Teacher Hub and other content areas. Alongside this, you’ll support wider marketing activity where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and optimise short-form and long-form marketing copy
  • Take the lead on product page copy across our ecommerce websites
  • Use crawling tools (e.g. Screaming Frog) to support SEO audits and site optimisation

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in Google Ads who understands how to structure, optimise and maintain campaigns to deliver consistent performance.

You’ll work closely with senior members of the marketing team to execute paid media activity across multiple brands, ensuring campaigns are well-structured, accurately tracked and continually improved. Alongside this, you’ll manage the integration between Shopify and Google Merchant Centre, ensuring product feeds are accurate, compliant and commercially effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and manage all types of Google Ads campaigns
  • Build and maintain always-on, product-specific and seasonal campaigns
  • Optimise bids, budgets, keywords and audiences to improve performance

You’ll work closely with senior members of the marketing team to monitor site and sales performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure our ecommerce platforms are performing as well as possible. Alongside analytics work, you’ll support general marketing activity where required.

  • Monitor website, ecommerce and sales performance across our sites
  • Use Google Analytics to track user behaviour and key conversion metrics
