Percussion Plus is a familiar name to music hubs, school music services and education authorities, sitting alongside the likes of Meinl, Izzo , Remo, and Stagg in music storage cupboards and trolleys everywhere!

Following on from the success of the Slap Djembe, Chamberlain Music is proud to stock the expanded Slap Percussion range from Percussion Plus. The unique screen-printed heads offer instruction possible playing techniques which are easy to follow. The range of instruments consists of Hand Drum, Lollipop Drum, Bongos, Floor Tom and Gathering Drum to offer variety of tone and playability for students of different abilities. Hand percussion fans can practice their Bass, Tone and Slap techniques on the hand drum, bongo drums, floor tom and gathering drums. If using a beater is preferred, then the lollipop drum, hand drum, bongos, floor tom and gathering drums are all supplied with suitable mallets.

About Slap Percussion

Full class percussion allows children to experience rhythms and musical styles equally, irrespective of previous musical knowledge and ability. Percussion can be linked to festivals, rituals and celebrations around the world which also ties in other elements of a well-rounded education.

Slap Djembes and Slap Percussion provide easy access to a range of tones from each instrument which allows players to explore the possibilities of percussion playing in ways they may not have considered. When paired with Andy Gleadhill’s Slap Djembe classroom resource, anyone from percussion specialists to cover teachers can confidently lead sessions on traditional rhythms from around the globe. Each of the 12 tunes can be taught over a series of 10 weeks from sight reading through to performance standard, making this a massive resource for any music department.

Different combinations of the instruments in the Slap range will allow you to select the most suitable instruments for your needs which perfectly match the abilities and requirements of the students in your class.
