Drum heads

(34)

Using properly configured and good quality drum heads or drum skins can make all the difference to the sound of even the lowest end kits. Remo were pioneers in the world of drum heads with such innovations as the Mylar drum skin, which predeceased the traditional calf skin heads seen on drums prior to 1960s. The Remo Weather King heads were designed to be able to be used in all weather conditions, following the increase in outdoor rock and pop concerts. Traditional calf skin heads caused serious problems in damp or humid conditions and would easily loose there tune even when moved between rooms or situations where temperature fluctuations are likely.
