Percussion Plus Honestly Made ocarinas

Hand crafted in Peru, these natural fire clay ocarinas and whistles have been sourced using fair trade principles. Both the mini clay painted ocarina and Inca clay ocarina featured unique hand painted designs, so no two ocarinas are the same. There are also bird whistle ocarinas supplied in a range of fun bird designs, friendly for young children to experiment.  

About the ocarina

The ocarina is a very old instrument indeed and is believed to have originated over 12,000 years ago. Now a popular replacement for recorders in schools, they are a great way of introducing pitch, rhythm, and music making together to primary education classes. Chamberlain Music mostly has 4-hole ocarinas available, often referred to as an ‘English pendant’ ocarina and use the English fingering system devised by John Taylor.
