Elegantly styled mid-range models with a European influenced design, Yamaha P series instruments are a wonderful step-up instrument and worth considering for the more discerning pianist. With two different sized models to choose from, a Yamaha P Series piano is an excellent choice for the home, with softer styling than the b Series and befitting from a European spruce soundboard for a remarkably warm and resonant tone. Each model is available with Silent Technology - allowing you to play silently, using headphones, any time of day or night.

Yamaha P116 upright piano

As the only 116cm tall model in Yamaha’s upright piano range, the P116 is ideal for those who require enhanced tonal quality over the compact b1 and b2, but don’t have enough space to accommodate the larger P121 or U1. A firm Chamberlain Pianos favourite, particularly with Silent technology, the elegant P116 is a beautifully proportioned upright piano and wonderfully resonant.

Yamaha P121 upright piano

At the top of the P Series sits the 121cm tall P121, the same size as the Japanese-built U1 and the Indonesian-crafted b3. Larger in all dimensions than the smaller P116, the P121 benefits from a two-piece top lid, along with an elegant single piece, curved fallboard. With its European soundboard and backframe, the P121 produces a distinctively warmer and mellow tone than either the U1 or b3 and is worth comparing against the slightly smaller yet handcrafted Rönisch 118K.
