Introducing our range of tambourines

The tambourine is part of the percussion family consisting of a frame, often wood or plastic, with pairs of small metal jingles which are called zills. Classically the term tambourine denotes an instrument with a drumhead, though some variants may not have a head.

We supply tambourines from Halilit, Izzo, LP percussion and Percussion Plus which all make high quality instruments which are great for education.

Percussion Plus

Our top choices from Percussion Plus PP038, PP871 and PP486-1 tambourines which all produce a bright jingle sound. Unlike the PP038 and the PP871, the PP486-1 is a half moon tambourine made from sturdy plastic. The grip handle also makes the instrument comfortable and easy to play.

Fun designs for early years

The Halilit range includes the MT602T and the MT508 tambourines which are both brightly coloured and fun for young children to help introduce them to music.

MT602T: A colourful tambourine that can be played either by hitting with hands or with a beater for different tones. This tambourine is suitable for children 18 months and above and the bright colours make it a great choice for nurseries and schools

MT508: These tambourines have an easy grip handle making it perfect for small fingers. It has a colourful, solid ring with 6 individual jingles for a fun sound. These musical toys will help to develop motor skills, creativity and hand-eye coordination in young children.

Honestly made animal tambourines

Part of the percussion Plus honestly made range and produced ethically and responsibly in Indonesia, our PP2093 animal tambourines are a fun way to introduce music to students. Carved into the shape of an animal, young children can enjoy making music with the fun design and sounds.

These particular designs are most ideal for early years and KS1 as they are very fun and suitable for children to play either at home or in a school environment.
