Samba beaters provide the different playing responses needed across a samba ensemble, from the deep, rounded sound of surdo mallets to harder beaters for more defined rhythmic parts. This collection includes practical options for samba bands, percussion ensembles, schools and workshops. The range includes soft and felt-headed beaters designed for surdos, which form the deep rhythmic foundation of a samba ensemble. Larger heads can produce a fuller, more resonant sound, while smaller or firmer beaters offer a more defined response.

Choosing the right beater can make a noticeable difference to the sound and playing feel of a samba drum, particularly when working with different surdo sizes and ensemble parts. The collection provides options for replacing existing beaters or equipping a new samba group with the appropriate accessories.
