Hand chimes

(30)
The hand chime is a percussion instrument similar to a hand bell. However, the note is produced from a tuned metal bar which has a beater mounted in the middle of the bar which uses a clapper mechanism to strike the beater against the bar. This is done buy holding the end of the bar in your hand and using a wrist snapping motion to strike the beater. There are various impressive techniques players use to play multiple bars, even as many has six in one hand! Hand chimes produce a softer sound than a hand bell. We have traditional versions as well as colourful and mounted versions available.
