Very special pianos indeed and produced in limited numbers, the SU Series consists of two models, a compact 118cm SU118C and the 131cm SU7, each specially designed to provide the optimum response and expressive control, with an unparalleled tonal palette and resonance.

Yamaha SU118C upright piano

The Yamaha SU118C delivers a remarkable tonal quality for such a compact instrument, and is the only model in Yamaha's product lineup which is built on a 118cm tall frame. Specially designed to produce as rich a tone as possible, the hammers are specially designed for a rich and clean tone, while the bass strings are custom made for enhanced depth and resonance - areas which are usually lacking on smaller pianos. Encased in an elegant polished ebony cabinet with brass fittings, the piano is built to be a lifelong musical companion, and is also the only traditional style model in Yamaha's range not to be fitted with castors.

Yamaha SU7 upright piano

The flagship Yamaha upright piano and quite simply a magnificent instrument. Built on the same 131cm tall frame as the U3S, YUS3 and YUS5, the SU7 is a handcrafted instrument of uncompromising quality. The attention to detail is remarkable, with elegant touches including a leather lined music desk, a soft-close fallboard which elegantly retracts into the cabinet, and stunning polished mahogany veneered insides. The SU7 is treasured by those who are lucky enough to own one, and with a sostenuto pedal as standard, is the perfect musical companion for those who would otherwise purchase a premium quality acoustic grand piano.
