HH Audio Q8FX 8-Channel Analogue Mixing Console
The HH Audio Q8FX is an 8-channel analogue mixing console best suited for live sound, music production, podcasting and recording performances. It features 4 microphone inputs with low-noise preamps, alongside 3 stereo line input channels for digital instruments and sound equipment.
The Q8FX combines 3-band channel EQ, a 75Hz low-cut filter and single-knob compression on channels 1 and 2 to help shape and balance incoming signals. There are 16 onboard digital effects that provide reverb, delay and echo options. The integrated 2-in/2-out USB audio interface allows connections to computers to record and playback audio directly. Dedicated monitoring connections, auxiliary effects routing and stereo RCA connections provide further flexibility for different audio setups.
Flexible inputs for microphones and instruments
The Q8FX features 4 XLR microphone inputs with low-noise preamps, giving you connections for vocal microphones and other compatible audio sources. Channels 1 and 2 also include 6.3mm line inputs and mono insert connections, while 3 stereo line channels accommodate keyboards, synthesizers, drum machines and external playback devices. Should a condenser microphone be used there is global phantom power available as well.
Channel EQ and dynamic control
Each channel features 3-band EQ, with low, mid and high controls centred at 100Hz, 2.5kHz and 12kHz respectively. The 75Hz low-cut filter on channels 1–6 helps reduce unwanted low-frequency rumble, which can be useful when working with microphones. Channels 1 and 2 also feature single-knob compressors to help control changes in signal level, making it easier to manage dynamic sources such as vocals and instruments.
Built-in effects and USB recording
The Q8FX includes 16 onboard DSP effects, covering reverb, delay and echo options to add ambience and depth to a mix without requiring an external effects processor. Its 2-in/2-out USB audio interface connects to a compatible computer for recording and playback of audio. USB audio supports 48kHz operation and 16-bit or 24-bit formats.
Monitoring and output connectivity
Balanced stereo XLR main outputs connect the Q8FX to a PA system or other compatible audio equipment. Dedicated stereo 6.3mm TRS monitor outputs and a headphone connection support monitoring during performances and recording. A mono FX send and stereo return allow external effects equipment to be integrated, while stereo RCA connections provide additional input and output options. An 8-point LED meter helps you monitor the main mix level.
