HH Audio Q-series Q16FX 16-channel analogue mixer
The HH Audio Q16FX is a 16-channel analogue mixer designed for live sound, recording and music production setups that require connections for multiple microphones, instruments and playback sources. It provides 10 mono channels with microphone inputs and line-level connectivity, alongside 4 stereo line input channels. This expanded input capacity lends itself to much bigger venues than previous mixers in the range, This mixer will be far more suiteable for large mixes with far more complicated setups.
The Q16FX combines single-knob compression on channels 1–8 with 3-band channel EQ and a 75Hz low-cut filter to help control individual sources. 16 onboard DSP effects provide reverb, delay and echo options, while a nine-band master graphic EQ with feedback detection helps shape the overall sound. Its 2-in/2-out USB audio interface supports computer-based recording and playback, and 2 subgroups provide additional control over channel groups.
More inputs, larger setups
The Q16FX provides 10 XLR microphone inputs, with mono line inputs on channels 1–8 and stereo line inputs across channels 9–16. This layout supports multiple vocal microphones and instruments alongside stereo sources such as keyboards, synthesizers, drum machines and playback equipment. Global +48V phantom power is available for compatible condenser microphones, and individual pan controls help position sources within the stereo mix.
Channel EQ and dynamic control
Each channel features 3-band EQ, with low, mid and high controls centred at 100Hz, 2.5kHz and 12kHz. The 75Hz low-cut filter on channels 1–12 helps reduce unwanted low-frequency rumble, particularly when working with microphones. Channels 1–8 also feature single-knob compression to help manage variations in signal level from vocals and instruments, making it easier to maintain a balanced mix.
Built-in effects and master graphic EQ
16 onboard DSP effects provide reverb, delay and echo options without requiring an external effects processor. The nine-band master graphic EQ allows adjustments to the overall tonal balance, with feedback detection helping identify problem frequencies during live sound operation. Dual subgroups allow channels to be routed and controlled together, while 2 auxiliary sends support external monitoring and effects setups.
USB recording and monitoring connections
The integrated 2-in/2-out USB audio interface connects the mixer to a compatible computer for recording performances, podcasts and music, as well as playing audio back through the mixer. Balanced stereo XLR main outputs connect to a PA system or other compatible equipment. Dedicated stereo monitor outputs, a headphone connection, stereo RCA connections and a range of auxiliary and effects routing options provide further flexibility.
