Introducing the Yamaha FGX830C 4/4 dreadnought cutaway electro-acoustic guitar in gloss
The Yamaha FG series is renowned for solid construction and terrific sound. The electro-acoustic FGX830C is no exception, providing great value for determined beginners and intermediates looking to develop their acoustic guitar skills. A solid-top guitar with rosewood back and sides, this guitar has an authentic sound that is well balanced without sacrificing any strength the FGX830C provides a compelling combination of quality and affordability.
Scalloped bracing
Yamaha’s engineers have utilised analysis and simulation to arrive at the best bracing design without depending on tradition or guesswork. This analysis led to the development of the new scalloped bracing pattern, a new and ideal acoustic structure that maintains the durability of the top board while bringing out the most sound the Yamaha FG has to offer.
Expertly crafted
The FGX830C model is crafted with a solid spruce top with rosewood back and sides, which helps to produce consistently rich overtones and a longer lasting sustain. The solid top is particularly useful when it comes to the depth of the sound, which is considerably more impressive in the FGX830C than other lower models. This, combined with the newly developed scalloped bracing across the whole FGX range, which adds a fatter low end, creates a well-rounded sounding instrument that enhances the general tone, projection and volume when played acoustically as well as when plugged into an amplifier.
Electro-acoustic excitement
The electronics featured within the guitars are an updated under-saddle SRT-Piezo pick-up alongside the System66 analogue pre-amp (the main pickup in the ever popular APX range). Combined, these have been updated to offer an improved overall sound quality and add an extra layer excitement to the guitar.
The Yamaha FG series
When it was introduced in 1966, the Yamaha FG proved that a great acoustic guitar didn’t need to cost a fortune. With a focus on great playability, musical tone and outstanding build quality, the original FG180 quickly became a classic with countless careers and hit records starting life on an FG. 50 years since the introduction of the FG acoustics, the new range features the best-ever FG tone and the same great playability and class-leading quality that’s made it the choice of millions of guitarists.
