Introducing the Yamaha FGX800CII 4/4 dreadnought cutaway electro-acoustic guitar in gloss
The Yamaha FG series is renowned for solid construction and terrific sound. The FGX800CII is no exception, providing great value for determined beginners and intermediates looking to develop their acoustic guitar skills. Based upon the award-winning FG800, the FGX800 is the first port of call when you need an electro-acoustic guitar. Featuring a solid spruce top and nato/okume back and sides on a cutaway body, as well as Yamaha’s proprietary under-saddle piezo pickup and System66 analog preamp, excellent amplified tone is always ensured.
Scalloped Bracing
Yamaha’s engineers have utilised analysis and simulation to arrive at the best bracing design without depending on tradition or guesswork. This analysis led to the development of the new scalloped bracing pattern, a new and ideal acoustic structure that maintains the durability of the top board while bringing out the most sound the Yamaha FG has to offer.
A new FG has louder and stronger sound in the low- to mid-ranges, thanks to cutting-edge acoustic analysis technology developed by the Yamaha R&D Division. This guitar is gig ready - powerful enough for small to medium indoor and outdoor venues, yet still offering subtlety in tone and dynamic range.
Expertly crafted
Crafted with a solid spruce top, this instrument produces a bold and resonant tone with sustained brilliance. The body, constructed from Nato, not only enhances its visual appeal but also contributes to an exceptional tonal output. The fretboard, skilfully crafted from rosewood, adds a touch of warmth to the sound, smoothing over any harsh frequencies. The result is a guitar that delivers a rich, clear tone, making it a perfect complement to any musical style.
Electro-acoustic excitement
The System66 electro-acoustic system features a proprietary under-saddle piezo pickup. Controls include a 3-band EQ, an adjustable mid-range frequency control and a precision chromatic tuner. The system is powered by regular AA batteries.
The Yamaha FG series
When it was introduced in 1966, the Yamaha FG proved that a great acoustic guitar didn’t need to cost a fortune. With a focus on great playability, musical tone and outstanding build quality, the original FG180 quickly became a classic with countless careers and hit records starting life on an FG. 50 years since the introduction of the FG acoustics, the new range features the best-ever FG tone and the same great playability and class-leading quality that’s made it the choice of millions of guitarists.
