Introducing the pre-owned Yamaha C5X grand piano in polished ebony, c.2020

An unmissable opportunity to purchase a second hand Yamaha C5X grand piano, still the current CX Series model and just 6 years old! With one previous owner the piano is in wonderful condition throughout, supplied freshly polished and serviced, with a 5 year warranty for your peace of mind.

The C5X, a descendent of the Yamaha G5 and C5 models, measures 6'7" long and is one frame size up from the popular C3X. While the two pianos share the same action mechanism, the extra string length and soundboard area of the C5X affords it a much richer and more resonant tone, and consequently is an ideal choice for the larger home or small performance space.

Additionally, the soundboard of the C5X is made from Austrian spruce, which produces a warmer tone than the Alaskan spruce of the smaller C3X, and is chosen for the soundboards of premium European pianos.

Hammers based on those of the CFX Series

Yamaha, unlike most other piano manufacturers, produces most of its own high-quality components and the hammers used in the CX Series utilize the same felt as the CFX, giving these pianos bright tonal colours and finely nuanced sound.
