Handcrafted Suzuki intermediate 4/4 violin

The Suzuki Violin 510 4/4 is a full-size intermediate-grade violin made using traditional violin-making techniques and carefully selected European tonewoods. It features a hand-carved spruce top, maple back and sides, and ebony fittings, combining traditional construction with a rich, full sound.

Suzuki places particular emphasis on the selection and preparation of the wood used. Carved from wood which has been seasoned for 10 years or more, these models feature a depth of wood grain not typically found at this level.

Note: This violin does not come with a bow, case or rosin.

Traditional handcrafted construction

This violin is made using traditional craftsmanship, with the soundboard carefully carved by hand. Suzuki states that this construction produces a rich sound with sufficient volume while retaining the natural character of the wood.

As a 4/4 violin, this model has the full-size body dimensions expected of a standard adult violin, making it the appropriate size for players who have progressed to a full-size instrument.

Selected spruce and maple

The violin has a good-quality spruce top with a maple back, sides and neck. Suzuki carefully selects the maple used for the instrument, including pieces with particularly vivid grain, while the tonewoods are carefully dried before being used in construction. The combination of spruce and maple follows traditional violin construction, providing the acoustic foundation for the No.510's rich tonal character.

The Suzuki intermediate 4/4 violin outfit includes a Suzuki VO-7 lightweight oblong case for transporting and protecting the instrument.
