Roland V-Drums TD-07KV2 5-piece electronic drum kit

Roland TD-07KV2 V-Drums electronic drum kit

The Roland TD-07KV2 is a five-piece electronic drum kit designed to give developing drummers a responsive playing experience with plenty of room to build technique. Upgraded snare and tom pads feature dual-ply mesh heads for natural rebound and resistance, while the larger pad configuration provides more space for practising rudiments, fills and more complex playing.

At the centre of the TD-07KV2 is Roland’s TD-07 sound module, providing 50 drum kits, 143 instruments and detailed sound-editing tools, including individual pad EQ, room ambience and 30 multi-effects. Bluetooth allows wireless audio streaming from a smartphone or tablet, while USB connectivity supports audio and MIDI communication with computer music software. The module also includes six Coach modes to help players develop their timing, accuracy and coordination.

Please note: Drum throne and kick pedal are NOT included.

Upgraded pads for expressive playing

The TD-07KV2 features upgraded snare and tom pads inherited from Roland’s V-Drums 3 Series. Their dual-ply mesh heads provide natural rebound and adjustable tension, helping players develop technique with a playing response that resembles acoustic drum heads. The configuration includes a 10" PD-10H snare, two 8" PD-8H rack toms and a 10" PD-10H floor tom.

The larger pad arrangement gives players more physical space for practising fills, rolls and transitions around the kit. The KD-10 kick pad provides a stable playing surface with realistic beater response while helping to reduce noise and vibration.

Two crash cymbals for a fuller setup

The TD-07KV2 includes a 12" CY-8 ride, a 12" CY-8 crash and a 10" CY-5 crash, alongside a dedicated CY-5 hi-hat with an FD-9 control pedal. This configuration provides more options for practising cymbal patterns, accents and transitions across a wider range of musical styles.

Having two crash cymbals makes it easier to practise arrangements that use different crash accents without repeatedly moving between the ride and a single crash. The hi-hat controller also supports changes between open and closed positions for more expressive playing.

TD-07 module with expanded practice tools

The TD-07 sound module provides 50 drum kits, including 25 preset kits and 25 user kits, alongside 143 instruments. Players can customise their sounds using individual pad EQ, an overhead microphone simulator, room ambience and 30 multi-effects, allowing them to adjust the character of each kit to suit their preferences.

The built-in Coach function now includes six modes covering timing, accuracy and coordination. These include Time Check, Quiet Count, Auto Up/Down, Change-Up and the additional BLAST BEAST mode. A metronome with adjustable tempo, rhythm type and click sound provides further support for practising consistently and improving timing.

Bluetooth supports wireless audio streaming from compatible smartphones, tablets and other devices, making it easy to play along with music. Bluetooth MIDI also enables communication with compatible music apps, while USB Audio and MIDI allow the kit to connect to computer software for recording and music production.
