The excellent articulation and sound projection stem from the exclusively designed Smith-Watkins leadpipe which sets the JP251SW apart from other intermediate level trumpets by providing superb resonance and a minimal resistance rate.
Constructed from high grade 80:20 brass for a strong, bright tone, the JP251SW also ensures precision and consistency with monel piston valves and easily adjustable 1st and 3rd valve slides to assist on the tuning of the more difficult notes like low C# and D.

I ordered a silver JP trumpet from Chamberlain Music, which was showing as in stock. After a couple of days without a dispatch notice, I gave them a call and spoke to Jon, who was friendly, helpful, and informative. It turned out that the box labelled “silver” actually contained a lacquered trumpet by mistake. They apologised sincerely and let me know they would order the correct one in for me. While I was a little disappointed at first, they had the best price online for this trumpet, so I felt it was worth the wait — and I’m glad I did! The correct trumpet arrived after five days and I’m really happy with the service overall. Mistakes can happen, but their excellent customer care and personable approach made all the difference.
