How our reviews work

  • A few days after your order ships we'll email you a link to leave a review. When your feedback is published it will carry a Customer verified badge, so others know it came from a real order with us.
  • We only ever edit a review to remove profanity, spam, or personal details - otherwise it's published exactly as written, good or bad. We won’t ever remove or edit critical ones.
  • You don't need to have bought a product from us to review it - if you know the product, we want you to let other shoppers know what you honestly think, using the form on the product page. These are moderated in the same way, but won't carry our Customer verified badge.

Yamaha CK76 76-Key Stage Keyboard

The Yamaha CK76 is a 76-key stage keyboard designed to provide an extended playing range without the size and weight of a full 88-key instrument. It combines piano, electric piano, organ and synthesiser sounds with built-in speakers and hands-on performance controls, it offers a versatile setup for live musicians, rehearsals and studio work.

Its semi-weighted Future System Basic (FSB) keyboard action provides a different playing feel from the 61-key CK61, with heavier initial key resistance and increased key travel. Alongside its 76 keys, the CK76 shares the CK Series' 3-part sound engine, dedicated organ controls, synthesiser editing and flexible connectivity.

Semi-weighted FSB keyboard

This keyboard features a 76-key semi-weighted FSB keyboard with initial-touch response. Compared to the CK61, its action offers heavier initial key resistance and increased key travel, providing a more substantial playing feel and additional stability.

The extended range gives you more room for playing piano and electric piano parts, while also providing the flexibility needed for organ, synthesiser and layered performances. Its piano sounds include Yamaha CFX, S700 and CF3 grand pianos, the U1 upright piano, and a selection of vintage electric pianos, Clavi and classic FM sounds.

Dedicated organ controls

Dedicated organ section based on the Yamaha reface YC, with 5 different organ types available. Nine drawbars provide direct control over the organ sound, while dedicated rotary speaker, percussion and vibrato/chorus controls allow you to adjust the character of your performance from the front panel.

Hands twisting knobs

Synthesiser sounds, hands-on editing

The synthesiser section includes analogue-style pads, leads, basses, synth brass, strings, bells and other textures. Dedicated Filter and Envelope Generator (EG) controls provide direct access to commonly used sound-shaping parameters, allowing you to adjust sounds without navigating complex menus.

A mono mode is also available for synthesiser leads and basses, while 3 Unison modes offer additional options for creating fuller sounds. Dedicated category buttons make it easier to browse and select voices during practice or performance.

3-part layering, splits and effects

The CK76 allows you to combine up to 3 sound parts, with options to split, layer, mix and process sounds directly from the front panel. You can create combinations such as piano and bass splits or layered organ and strings, with individual controls for adjusting the balance.

Its effects section includes Drive, 2 independent effects processors, delay, reverb and a 3-band master EQ. The stereo A/D input also features 2 dedicated effects processors, allowing external audio sources to be incorporated into your setup.

Live Sets and MIDI Master

Live Sets allow you to save and recall complete instrument configurations, including sound selections, splits, layers, effects and front-panel settings. The CK76 provides 160 Live Set locations, including 80 preset sounds, making it easier to prepare and switch between different performance setups.

MIDI Master mode turns the CK76 into a 4-zone MIDI controller for use with external instruments, software and other MIDI equipment. Each zone can be configured with its own splits, octave adjustments and patch changes, allowing you to control multiple external sounds from the keyboard.

Batteries of the keyboard and their location

Built-in speakers and battery operation

2 built-in speakers powered by 6W amplifiers allow you to play the CK76 without connecting an external sound system. Its lightw8 construction makes it easier to transport than many 76-key stage keyboards, while battery operation provides additional flexibility when playing away from a mains supply.

The CK76 can operate using 8 AA alkaline or rechargeable Ni-MH batteries. Bluetooth Audio Input allows you to stream tracks wirelessly from a compatible device, while the built-in USB audio interface supports stereo recording and playback with a computer or compatible iOS device.

Connections include stereo line outputs, stereo A/D inputs, a headphone connection, MIDI In and Out, USB To Host and USB To Device.
