How our reviews work

  • A few days after your order ships we'll email you a link to leave a review. When your feedback is published it will carry a Customer verified badge, so others know it came from a real order with us.
  • We only ever edit a review to remove profanity, spam, or personal details - otherwise it's published exactly as written, good or bad. We won’t ever remove or edit critical ones.
  • You don't need to have bought a product from us to review it - if you know the product, we want you to let other shoppers know what you honestly think, using the form on the product page. These are moderated in the same way, but won't carry our Customer verified badge.

Introducing the Zoom VRH-8 ambisonics VR microphone capsule

The Zoom VRH-8 is a powerful accessory for the Zoom H8 multitrack recorder. It is an Ambisonic mic capsule that utilizes four condenser microphones to deliver immersive 360 audio recordings. A built-in accelerometer helps ensure the capsule is always perfectly aligned, while the on-board Ambisonic decoder automatically handles the necessary conversions, saving you time in post-production.

A smoother recording experience

The VRH-8 consists of 4 small diaphragm condenser capsules in Ambisoncs arrangement. An integrated decoder converts the 4 signals into a stereo signal in real time. In this way, the creation of three-dimensional audio spaces is possible without the otherwise required considerable effort. Such recordings are often used for computer games, sound installations, room recording or exhibitions, especially in combination with 3D video.
