Introducing the Yamaha Disklavier GB1 c.2005
The Yamaha GB1 baby grand piano is the most compact in Yamaha's grand range, but offers a remarkable depth of tone, clarity and overall projection for a small piano. Its compact dimensions make it perfect for the smaller space yet still a worthwhile alternative to a large U series upright.
Player pianos have been around for many years. First and foremost an acoustic piano, a Disklavier piano can play itself for you, bringing the possibility of piano ownership and enjoyment to a whole new audience – you don’t have to be a pianist to have a piano!
This piano was manufactured in Indonesia in 2005 and has been privately owned since. The instrument is factory fitted with the popular Mark III Disklavier system, available on the GB1 as a playback only system, and has been recently upgraded by the addition of the DKC850 control unit. This gives the piano much more modern connectivity including playback of song files from a USB memory stick. One can also plug in speakers to hear backing tracks playing simultaneously.
