Founded in London in 1936, the Knight Piano Company earned a reputation for producing well-built, musically satisfying instruments. Their upright pianos, particularly the popular K10 model, became a familiar sight in homes, schools and teaching studios, and were, for a time, the only non-Steinway pianos sold at Steinway Hall in London.

The K10 is widely regarded as Knight's definitive upright. Standing at a practical 112cm tall, it offers an impressive combination of compact dimensions, responsive touch and a warm, resonant tone that has helped make the model a lasting favourite with pianists and teachers alike.

This example, manufactured around 1982, has been privately owned since new and has clearly been well cared for. It benefits from a factory-fitted celeste pedal, allowing for quieter practice when needed, making it an excellent choice for family homes. The mahogany-veneered cabinet is presented in excellent condition, complemented by polished brass fittings, while the action shows only light signs of wear.
