Introducing the Kemble Oxford upright piano in Natural Beech Satin, c.2003
Manufactured in the UK in c.2003, this Kemble Oxford is a second-generation model that comes to us from a private home in fabulous technical and cosmetic condition.
Kemble pianos were built here until 2008 alongside equivalent Yamaha models, and the Oxford shares its heritage with the popular Yamaha P110. Offering a softer, more mellow voice than its Yamaha counterpart, it combines Japanese precision-engineered components with traditional British cabinet-making, finished here in an elegant satin beech veneer with black accents.
The piano features a solid spruce Strunz soundboard, crafted from white Alpine spruce on the German-Austrian border, giving it a distinctly European tonal character. Its easy, responsive touch makes it equally suitable for the developing pianist or more experienced player.
At 110cm tall, with three pedals including a celeste for quieter practice, the Oxford is an excellent compact upright for the home—combining a warm, refined tone with handsome traditional styling.
