High quality build

Hand-built at Sontronics HQ in the south of England, the Sigma is comprised of top-grade components and a custom-wound transformer. RFI filters are also featured to ensure a perfectly clean signal and provides peace of mind when using in a live environment.

Every last detail of the Sigma 2 has been carefully considered, with superior-grade stainless steel mesh used for the grille, precision-engineered metalwork and a uniquely designed shockmount.

Sontronics was founded in 2004 by musician and audio enthusiast Trevor Coley. Since its inception, the company has focused on creating high-quality microphones that blend innovative technology with artistic design, catering to a wide range of audio professionals and musicians. All their products are designed and developed on the south coast of England and all new prototype models are put through rigorous beta-testing with top British producers including Flood (U2, Editors, The Foals) and Paul Epworth (Adele, Coldplay, U2) as well as several engineers at Abbey Road Studios.
