The QTX QX15PA-PLUS is a self-contained portable PA system with a 15" low-frequency driver, built-in amplifier and a choice of mains or rechargeable battery power. It provides a complete PA setup in one unit and comes supplied with two UHF wireless handheld microphones.
The internal rechargeable battery provides up to eight hours of operation, while the moulded carry handle, retractable trolley handle and rear wheels make the 18.1kg unit easier to move between locations. A 35mm pole mount is also built into the cabinet for use with a suitable speaker stand or pole.
Two UHF wireless handheld microphones are included with the QX15PA-PLUS, with the receiver built into the rear of the PA. This allows vocals, announcements and other spoken content to be used without running microphone cables across the performance area.
There are also two further microphone inputs, with the first doubling as a guitar input. An AUX input and RCA line input provide additional ways to connect audio sources, while the microphone channels include volume and echo controls. The VCV voiceover function can also lower the background music when a microphone signal is detected.
The QX15PA-PLUS features Bluetooth 4.2 for wireless audio playback from a compatible device. The built-in media player supports USB and SD media, while an integrated FM radio tuner provides another option for audio playback.
An IR remote control is included for operating the media player from a distance, which can be useful when the PA is being used for background music as well as live sound or announcements.
The combination of battery operation, wireless microphones and multiple audio inputs makes the QX15PA-PLUS suited to situations where a straightforward portable PA is needed. It can be used for performances, announcements, presentations and other events, as well as by buskers, DJs, fitness instructors and singer-songwriters.
The 15" low-frequency driver is paired with a 1" titanium compression driver, with 90° x 60° horizontal and vertical dispersion. Controls on the unit include volume, bass, treble, echo, microphone volume, UHF volume, contour and VCV settings.
The QX15PA-PLUS is supplied with a slip cover to help protect the PA when it is being stored or transported. The package also includes two UHF wireless handheld microphones, an IR remote control for the built-in media player and a mains power lead.
The PA can be powered from the mains, an external 12V DC supply or its internal rechargeable battery, giving you flexibility when using the system in different locations.
