The Shure PGA48 Alta is a professional-quality dynamic vocal microphone designed to deliver clear, focused sound for spoken word and vocal performance. Its cardioid pickup pattern concentrates on sound from the front of the microphone while helping to reject unwanted noise from behind.
Built for straightforward, reliable use, the PGA48 combines a durable metal construction with a tailored microphone cartridge designed for clarity across the standard speech frequency range. An integrated on/off switch provides convenient control during performances, while the supplied stand adapter and storage pouch make the microphone easy to set up and transport.
The PGA48 uses a dynamic moving-coil cartridge with a frequency response of 70Hz to 15kHz. Its tailored response is designed specifically to provide clarity in the standard speech range, making it well suited to spoken word as well as vocals.
The cardioid polar pattern is designed to pick up sound primarily from the front of the microphone while rejecting unwanted sound from the rear. This directional response helps provide focused vocal pickup in live and amplified environments.
The microphone features a black metallic finish with a silver ball grille and includes an on/off switch for convenient control. A stand adapter and zipper pouch are also supplied, with cable options available depending on the PGA48 version selected.
