Introducing the Zoom R4 MultiTrak

The R4 is designed to empower musicians to explore big ideas and is the worlds first portable multi-trak compact studio supported by 32-bit float audio technology. With a high-quality built-in microphone, a rhythm section with 80 different drum beats, controls to add impressive effects, there are many possibilities with the R4.

Light and compact, as well as being run on 4 AA batteries, the R4 is perfectly portable and the intuitive interface means its great for musicians of all levels. Featuring ¼” – 20 thread to mount tripods and other accessories as well as non-skid rubber feet, the R4 can be taken with you and used anywhere.

With great connectivity, the R4 features a headphone output for monitoring your recordings, a USB-C port for data transfer and use as an external battery and 2XLR/TS combo inputs for instruments microphones and more.

Record. Bounce. Repeat

With the R4, you can record up to four tracks, mix and then bounce them to the dedicated bounce track, letting you free up additional tracks to keep adding layers. You can choose to do a quick bounce or mix and bounce in real time. There is also the option to undo your last bounce, as well as tracks always being automatically saved.

32-bit float recording technology

The 32-bit float recording technology ensures you always have consistently clear audio, as well as simplifying the setup and unprecedented editing flexibility, while also eliminating the need for a gain knob.

Add effects

Featuring track effects, each track has a 3-band EQ, pan, echo and reverb to perfectly refine your mix. You can apply effects to input A such as amp simulations, delays, distortions and more, and also control and mix the volume levels for each of the four tracks.

Produce your best sound

The R4 features a high-quality built-in microphone perfect for acoustic guitars, vocals, and for capturing a quick reference recording. The rhythm section is preloaded with over 80 different drum patterns to play along with featuring genres such as rock, hip hop, funk, heavy metal and more.

Great connectivity

With great connectivity, the R4 has 2XLR/TS combo inputs with legendary zoom preamps. You can also plug in microphones, instruments, keyboards and more. The R4 can be powered by 4 AA batteries or alternatively through connection to the USB-C port. There is also a headphone output of 3.5mm to monitor your recordings.
