These Percussion Plus claves are made from solid oak and produce a sharp but warm clicking tone when they are hit together. The smooth wooden surface and size make them comfortable to hold and easy to play. They are also compact and durable which makes them perfect percussion instrument for use in the classroom.
Claves are ideal rhythmic instruments used in Afro-Cuban music such as rumba, mambo, salsa and Latin jazz. They are often used as an accompaniment with Samba packs, but work just as well alongside djembes as their sharp tone contrasts the deep drums. Due to their versatility, they are ideal for younger players.
