Pearl P-1000CX Elimin8R Single Pedal

The Pearl P-1000CX Elimin8R is a single bass drum pedal designed to provide a fast, responsive playing experience with plenty of adjustment for different playing styles. Taking over from the older P930 model, drawing on the design of Pearl's established Eliminator pedals, the Elimin8R combines a sprocketless double-chain drive, adjustable footboard position and interchangeable cam system to let drummers fine-tune the feel of the pedal to suit their playing.

A solid frame and full-support base plate provide a stable foundation for consistent footwork, while the resistance-free footboard is designed for smooth movement throughout the stroke. With adjustable spring tension, beater angle and drive position, the P-1000CX gives players considerable control over how the pedal responds without adding unnecessary complexity. This is available as a single pedal or double pedal configurations.

Interchangeable cam system

The Elimin8R's Removable Cam System provides two different approaches to pedal response. The Progressive Cam creates an accelerated feel through the stroke, helping the pedal build speed as the footboard moves, while the Linear Action Cam provides a more consistent response. Switching between the two allows the pedal to be adapted to different playing techniques and personal preferences.

This gives the Elimin8R a useful degree of versatility without requiring a completely different pedal. Drummers can experiment with the two cam profiles to find a balance of speed, power and control that works for their playing.

Three-position Powershifter

The three-position Powershifter allows the footboard to be moved forwards or backwards to alter the drive angle and leverage of the pedal. The three positions provide lighter, regular and stronger playing feels, allowing the response to be adjusted according to the drummer's technique.

Changing the footboard position can be particularly useful when moving between different playing styles. A lighter setting can provide a quicker-feeling response, while moving the footboard to a stronger position increases the leverage available for more powerful bass drum playing.

Smooth double-chain drive

The Elimin8R uses a sprocketless double-chain drive to transfer movement from the footboard to the beater. The double-chain construction provides a stable connection throughout the pedal stroke, while the resistance-free footboard is designed to allow smooth forward and backward movement.

This combination gives the pedal a direct and consistent feel underfoot, helping foot movements translate into controlled bass drum strikes. The brushed chrome footboard also provides a durable playing surface for regular use.

Control Core DuoBeater

The included Control Core DuoBeater gives the Elimin8R two different contact surfaces in one beater. One side uses a hard plastic surface for a more pronounced attack, while the other uses felt for a softer character. This allows the sound and response of the bass drum to be adjusted without changing the pedal itself.

The DuoBeater also incorporates a Control Core elastomer centre designed to reduce unwanted vibration from the beater. Combined with the adjustable beater angle, this provides further control over how the beater interacts with the bass drum head.

Adjustable spring tension and beater angle

The Click-Lock spring tension adjustment allows the desired spring setting to be secured in place, helping prevent the tension from changing during playing. This makes it easier to establish a consistent pedal feel and maintain the preferred setup between sessions.

The Uni-Lock beater angle adjustment provides further control over the pedal setup, allowing the angle of the beater and pedal height to be adjusted to suit the player's preferred position. Together, these adjustments make it possible to fine-tune the relationship between footboard movement, spring response and beater travel.

Stable and secure setup

The Elimin8R features a solid base plate that provides a stable platform beneath the pedal, helping to keep the pedal firmly positioned during playing. Optional Velcro can also be applied underneath the base for additional security when required.

A side-access hoop clamp makes attaching the pedal to the bass drum straightforward while providing a secure connection to the hoop. Because the clamp is accessed from the side, it can be adjusted without needing to reach around the pedal mechanism.
