Discover a unique way to make music with the Suzuki Omnichord OM-108 starter bundle. Bringing together the iconic electronic instrument with its official power supply, purpose-designed gig bag and headphones, this great-value package is ready for musical exploration at home, in the studio or on the move.
First introduced in the 1980s, the Omnichord has earned a cult following for its unmistakable retro sounds, intuitive controls and unique approach to playing music. The modern OM-108 brings this much-loved instrument into the present with 108 chords, 10 instrument tones, 10 rhythm patterns and an expressive touch-sensitive strumplate. Whether you're an experienced songwriter looking for fresh inspiration or a complete beginner, the Omnichord makes creating music accessible.
The magic of the Omnichord lies in its simplicity. Select a chord using the clearly labelled buttons, then run your finger along the touch-sensitive strumplate to create beautiful, flowing accompaniments. There's no need to learn complex finger positions or read traditional music notation, making it possible to start playing recognisable songs almost immediately.
With 108 chord combinations available, including major, minor, seventh, augmented, diminished, sus4 and add9 chords, the OM-108 offers plenty of harmonic possibilities. Its tactile playing experience encourages experimentation, allowing musicians to discover new chord progressions, improvise and develop musical ideas naturally.
The OM-108 captures the distinctive character that made the original Omnichord so popular. Its 10 instrument tones include classic harp, celeste and organ sounds alongside guitar, banjo, vibes and acoustic piano. The new FM piano voice brings a nostalgic 1980s flavour, while the Omni 1 and Omni 2 tones use genuine analogue circuitry to recreate the instrument's unmistakable electronic sound.
A versatile layer function allows two instrument tones to be combined, with independent volume controls for shaping the balance between them. From delicate, shimmering accompaniments to rich electronic textures, the Omnichord offers a distinctive sound palette that is equally at home in songwriting, recording and live performance.
With 10 built-in rhythm patterns, including rock, country, swing, disco, funk, bossa nova and hip hop, the OM-108 makes it easy to build a complete musical accompaniment. The updated rhythm section introduces contemporary sounds while retaining the familiar character of the original instruments.
A dedicated drum pad mode transforms the strumplate into an expressive percussion controller, allowing you to create beats and rhythmic patterns directly with your fingers. The OM-108 also includes a 20-key melody keyboard with octave shifting, opening up further possibilities for playing melodies, experimenting with arrangements and developing original compositions.
The Omnichord is much more than a nostalgic curiosity. Its unusual combination of chord buttons, rhythmic accompaniments and expressive strumming makes it a powerful creative tool for musicians looking to approach songwriting from a different perspective. It can provide an instant foundation for a new song, add distinctive textures to recordings or bring an unexpected element to live performances.
MIDI OUT connectivity allows the OM-108 to communicate with external MIDI equipment, making it possible to use its unique playing interface with other sound sources. The built-in speaker is ideal for spontaneous music-making, while the line output and headphone connection provide additional options for amplification, recording and private practice.
This bundle includes the official Suzuki OGB-108 gig bag, designed specifically for the OM-108. Its lightweight polyester construction, adjustable shoulder strap and dedicated accessory compartment make transporting and storing your instrument straightforward, with space for the included power supply and cables.
The Suzuki OM108-PSU provides dependable mains power for longer playing sessions, while the AV Link CH850 headphones allow you to explore sounds and create music privately. The headphones feature padded ear cups, an adjustable headband and a 3.5mm connection compatible with the Omnichord's headphone output.
For even greater portability, the OM-108 can also operate using eight AA batteries (sold separately), making it an excellent companion for rehearsals, workshops, songwriting sessions and musical adventures away from home.
This versatile package combines the Suzuki Omnichord OM-108 with three practical accessories, giving musicians everything they need to explore its distinctive sounds, experiment with new ideas and take their creativity wherever they go.
