It is solidly made, similar to the top part of a standard folding music stand but fits perfectly onto a desk of table.
It folds for very easy storage and is great for music lessons or reading, without the hassle of taking up floor space as does a normal standing music stand.

Excellent when floor space is a premium. Very sturdy
I have been searching for a desktop music stand for ages and most of them look like kids toys made of plastic or expensive olde worlde wooden carvings, the Stagg music stand is a great piece of kit, looks the part, sturdy, does the job, folds down small and comes with a carry bag. Very pleased.
