Introducing the Zoom M3 MicTrak Stereo Shotgun Recorder

The M3 MicTrak offers filmmakers the ability to enhance their content with pristine sound quality. Designed to be mounted on a camera, the stereo microphone with built-in recorder records every sonic nuance with 32-bit float technology.

At all times, the M3 records clipping-free audio thanks to 32-bit float recording, so no equalisation is necessary. Whether you're recording dialogue, sound effects or ambience in outdoor recordings, you'll always get the perfect sound.

The specially designed elastic mount then keeps weight to a minimum and ensures minimal transmission of handheld noise.

Mono and stereo modes

Mono mode is ideal for dialogue recording, and stereo mode is best for atmosphere and sound effects. The 90º used in mono mode allows for accurate, transparent stereo recording, whereas the 120º used in stereo mode provides a generous stereo pick-up. By switching between these two modes, you can find the best one for your recording!

More flexibility in post-production

At any time, the M3 can save a backup file in mid-side RAW format, giving you the flexibility to adjust the stereo width of the recording in post-production.

Backup for your recordings

You can use the 3.5mm stereo output to connect the M3 to your camera and record a backup there. This is especially useful for synchronising audio to a video.

Effectiveness in post-production

With the M3 Edit and Play software, you can adjust the stereo width of your recordings and normalise your files to prepare them for dubbing and post-production.

USB mic

Connect the USB-C port to a PC or ac to use the M3 as a USB microphone for streaming or recording.

Monitoring

You can listen to your recordings via the 3.5mm headphone output!

Power supply

Power the M3 on long production days with up to 12 hours of recording from two Type AA batteries.

Storage

Record onto SDXC cards with a capacity of up to 1TB.
