The Mission LX-3 MKII is a larger standmount speaker designed to deliver a fuller, more extended sound, making it well suited to school studios, classrooms and music teaching environments. As part of the LX MKII range, it follows Mission’s established design approach while incorporating refinements drawn from higher-end models, offering a practical and reliable solution for education settings.
With a 6.5" composite fibre bass driver, the LX-3 MKII provides increased low-frequency reach compared to smaller models in the range. The bass reflex cabinet further supports this, helping to produce a more room-filling sound that works effectively in larger classrooms and studio spaces without becoming overwhelming.
A 25 mm soft dome tweeter delivers a clean and controlled high-frequency response. Combined with the bass driver, this creates a balanced overall sound that is well suited to a wide range of music, supporting both playback and basic monitoring tasks in educational environments where clarity is important.
Mission’s inverted driver geometry positions the tweeter below the bass unit, helping to better align the output from each driver. Together with a carefully tuned crossover, this contributes to a more cohesive and accurate sound, particularly through the midrange where detail is most noticeable.
The internally braced cabinet helps reduce unwanted resonance and improve overall stability. Alongside refinements to the drive units, this allows the LX-3 MKII to deliver a controlled and consistent performance, making it a dependable option for school studios and teaching spaces.
