Protective horizontal storage

Each device is stored horizontally on its own shelf, making it easy to insert and remove devices while preventing them from shifting during transport. This fixed-shelf layout supports larger devices and cases, keeping everything in place without wasted space. Wide-opening L-shaped doors provide full access to the storage area, making cable routing and device handling fast and hassle-free.

Secure and tamper-resistant

Security is built into every detail of these charging trolleys. A dual-point locking system secures both the front device doors and the separate rear power compartment, with top-mounted locks to protect against snapped keys or accidental damage. A concealed lever mechanism unlocks the power compartment when required, giving safe access to power strips and AC adaptors while keeping them hidden during use. Inset door handles and rounded rubber bumpers reduce snagging and impact risks in busy environments.

Silent, fan-free ventilation with overheating protection

The LapCabby horizontal uses a silent, fan-free ventilation system to maintain a safe operating temperature. Side and rear vents, along with a specially designed weldmesh base, ensure constant natural airflow without the noise concerns of traditional fan systems. A built-in heat sensor automatically shuts off power if the internal temperature exceeds 32°C (90°F), protecting both the trolley and the devices inside.

Fast, efficient, programmable charging

Powered by LapCabby’s intelligent Power7 Management System, both units support simultaneous charging for all devices via internal 8-way power strips—two in the 16-device model and four in the 32-device version. Generously spaced sockets accommodate large plugs without blocking adjacent ports, and an IEC power cable connects to a single wall outlet via a 1.8m (6ft) snap-out cord designed to prevent damage if accidentally pulled.

The Power7 system includes a soft-start feature that staggers the activation of each power strip to avoid overload, with full power-up completed in six seconds. It supports constant charging, cycle charging, and programmable scheduling, with up to three schedules set across a seven-day period. A clear LED display and simple push-button controls make setting and adjusting charging times quick and intuitive.

Thoughtful cable and power management

Each AC adaptor is stored securely in individual ABS pockets within the power compartment. These flexible pockets allow easy access during setup and maintenance while preventing damage to plugs and keeping cables organised and ventilated. Cable portholes route power leads from the rear compartment to the front of the unit, preventing cords from being pulled out or dislodged during everyday use.

Compact, portable design

The trolleys feature ergonomic ABS handles on the top, and four hospital-grade, non-marking rubber wheels (two of which are braked) to ensure smooth, controlled movement. A steel binding plate reinforces the wheel assembly, preventing loosening or buckling over time. Protective rubber bumpers and extrusions on all corners absorb knocks, protecting the trolley and surrounding surfaces.
