How our reviews work

  • A few days after your order ships we'll email you a link to leave a review. When your feedback is published it will carry a Customer verified badge, so others know it came from a real order with us.
  • We only ever edit a review to remove profanity, spam, or personal details - otherwise it's published exactly as written, good or bad. We won’t ever remove or edit critical ones.
  • You don't need to have bought a product from us to review it - if you know the product, we want you to let other shoppers know what you honestly think, using the form on the product page. These are moderated in the same way, but won't carry our Customer verified badge.

BOSS Katana-25 Guitar Amplifier

The BOSS Katana-25 brings the sound and feel of the Katana range to a compact 25W amplifier designed for playing at home. Its six amp characters cover a range of tones, from clean sounds to high-gain distortion, with over 60 BOSS effects available to shape your sound. A dedicated amp character is also tuned for acoustic-electric instruments.

The custom 8-inch speaker and BOSS Tube Logic design work together to deliver a responsive playing experience, while the selectable Power Control lets you switch between maximum 25W output and 0.5W for practising at lower volumes.

Shape your sound

The Katana-25 has six amp characters with variations, giving you plenty of scope to find a sound that suits your playing. Gain, volume and three-band EQ controls let you make adjustments from the panel, while the Tone Setting section provides 20 ready-to-play presets and 10 memory slots for saving your own sounds.

Over 60 BOSS effects are available, with up to five usable at once. For more detailed editing and access to the full effects selection, connect to the BOSS Tone Studio app. The built-in tuner and tap tempo control for delay effects are also readily accessible on the amplifier.

Practise and play along with Bluetooth

Built-in Bluetooth lets you stream music from a smartphone, tablet or other compatible device through the amplifier, so you can play along with your favourite tracks. The BOSS Tone Studio app gives you access to sound editing and BOSS Tone Exchange, where you can explore sounds shared by other players.

The app also includes a Session function for playing YouTube content and setting up automatic Tone Setting changes as a video plays. For quieter practice, use the dedicated headphone output. The USB-C connection also allows direct recording to a computer or mobile device.

Compact design with flexible control

Measuring 360 x 180 x 310 mm and weighing 4.8 kg, the Katana-25 is easy to fit into a home practice setup. Its compact cabinet houses the custom 8-inch speaker, with straightforward controls for adjusting your sound and saving settings.

For hands-free control, the amplifier supports compatible BOSS footswitches, including wired and wireless options, as well as the EV-1-WL wireless expression pedal. These accessories are sold separately.
