The Laney Ironheart Foundry IRF120-212 is a 120W analogue guitar combo amplifier designed for guitarists who need substantial output, flexible tone shaping and modern recording connectivity. Its offset 2 x 12" cabinet houses two custom HH speakers, while two independent channels provide a choice of gain structures and voicings for different playing styles.

Drawing on the tone and feel of Laney's Ironheart valve amplifiers, the IRF120-212 combines an analogue signal path with practical features for live performance, home practice and recording.

Two independent channels for versatile tones

The IRF120-212 features two independent channels, each with its own gain, volume and three-band passive EQ. Channel 1 offers ASYM, Clean and SYM gain character options, while Channel 2 provides Bright, Natural and Dark voicings. This gives you a range of sounds, from cleaner tones to heavier, high-gain guitar sounds, with separate controls for shaping each channel.

A built-in Pre-Boost adds extra drive when required, and the onboard digital reverb adds ambience to your sound. The boost and reverb can be controlled by footswitch, making it easier to change your sound while playing.

Recording and performance connectivity

The IRF120-212 includes a balanced XLR output with Laney's LA·IR impulse response technology, allowing you to send a cabinet-emulated signal directly to a PA system or recording equipment. Selectable impulse responses and a ground lift switch provide further control over the direct output.

USB-C audio I/O supports direct connection to a computer, while USB-C connectivity also enables app control and updates. An effects loop, auxiliary input and headphone output add further flexibility for integrating effects, playing along with backing tracks and practising quietly.

Watts Control lets you reduce the output from 120W to below 1W for lower-volume playing. This makes the IRF120-212 adaptable to different environments, from bedroom practice to louder rehearsal and live settings.
