This series of MIDI controllers from Nektar is dynamic and expressive, tailored to composition and production. Compatible with any software for Windows and Mac, these are simple to use with their no-fuss interface technology.
The keyboard can be purchased as a 49-note (4 octave) or 61-note (5 octave) keyboard and they come with a pitch-bend wheel, modulation wheel and foot switch socket. There are also two multi-coloured octave buttons which enable shifting the keyboard range up or down -3/+4 octaves with the LED colours changing to show the exact status.
Overall, the Impact GX series will provide you with the creative freedom to compose, perform and play, without the need to reach for your mouse all the time.
The design itself is relatively small and compact and the lightweight means that travelling musicians can take their keyboard and plug in and play wherever they go.
For those who are often on the move, you can easily hook you impact GX keyboard to an Apple iPad using the iPad's optional USB camera connection kit. The Impact GX is powered by the iPad so you can work away for as long as your iPad remains charged.
Nektar DAW integration allows you to maximise your creativity. Instead of reaching for the mouse constantly while capturing an idea, the DAW integration has been carefully created to help you make the most of your software.
With the Impact GX there are transport controls with the ability to set locators, track navigation, control volume, launch windows and patch navigation, all from your MIDI keyboard.
There are 14 assignable MIDI buttons, a modulation wheel and optional foot switch connection which can be assigned to send out MIDI cc messages to your Mac or PC. The assignable buttons can also be programmed in order to send out MMC (MIDI Machine Control) transport control.
MMC is often supported by DAWs that don't allow for advanced integration so with this option, the Impact GX range has got you covered.
As a low powered device, Impact GX works with all USB devices that feature a class compliant MIDI driver. This also includes all versions of Windows from XP and higher, Apple OS x 10.5 and higher plus Linux (if a USB MIDI driver is installed).
Bitwig 8-track is an effective digital audio station that helps musicians start producing, performing and designing sounds. There's a large selection of instrument sounds and effects to choose from with up to 8 project tracks with audio or MIDI. Artists are able to play and record instruments, produce arrangements and design sounds with the help of the Impact GX series.
