The enclosures are constructed from a resilient MDF with a damped acoustic response perfectly matched to reference monitoring. Drawing from over a century of acoustic piano making, Yamaha have employed a traditional 3-way mitered-joint technique. Plus, the tough construction firmly anchors the corners of the enclosure to dramatically improve durability and eliminate unwanted resonance.
