Forrest Gump is a 1994 American epic romantic-comedy-drama film based on the 1986 novel by Winston Groom. The story depicts several decades in the life of Forrest Gump, a slow-witted and naive, but good-hearted and athletically prodigious man from Alabama. He witnesses some of the defining events of the latter half of the 20th century in the USA. It has won numerous Academy Awards and Golden Globes. In 2011, the Library of Congress selected Forrest Gump for preservation in the United States National Film Registry as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". Paul Lavender has beautifully arranged the main theme, also known as the 'Feather theme'.
All the titles in the Full Orchestra series have been placed in a practical, accessible format which can be performed by school orchestras with confidence.
