Introducing the Fender California Standard Redondo™
Drawing from a storied legacy of reimagining the acoustic experience for daring and adventurous players, the Fender California Standard Redondo™ is a bold and expressive acoustic guitar that embodies the essence of Fender’s forward-thinking design. Combining timeless style with modern performance, it’s an instrument that looks as good as it sounds – authentically different, undeniably timeless, and quintessentially Fender®.
The timeless Fender California Series
From its early roots in Southern California’s surf, sunshine, and creative spirit, Fender’s approach to acoustic design has always celebrated freedom, expression, and individuality. The first flat-top acoustics of the 1960s were built to travel – from beach jams to recording studios – blending reliability with unmistakable Fender character. The modern California Series proudly continues that tradition, honouring Fender’s heritage while embracing contemporary comfort, tone, and craftsmanship.
Contemporary meets classic
The Redondo™ captures the heart of this series with its distinctive dreadnought body, strong projection, and confident aesthetic. Designed for players who like to stand out, it balances iconic looks with exceptional comfort. The 25½" scale slim “C”-shaped neck makes for a smooth, accessible feel across the fretboard, perfect for rhythm players and fingerstyle musicians alike.
Crafted for tone and durability
Featuring a layered spruce top with sapele back and sides, the Redondo™ delivers an impressive blend of warmth, clarity, and resonance. Its resilient all-laminate build ensures stability and reliability across changing environments, while the gloss polyurethane finish enhances both tone and visual appeal. The inlaid dual-ring rosette and 1-ply black pickguard add refined touches that nod to Fender’s meticulous design heritage.
Built for effortless playability
An okoume neck with a gloss urethane finish and oiled walnut fingerboard offers a natural, tactile playing experience, supported by vintage-size frets and a 12" fingerboard radius for smooth movement.
Dependable hardware and Fender finishing touches
Sealed die-cast tuning machines ensure reliable precision, complemented by a Micarta nut and phosphor bronze strings (.011–.052) for stable intonation and a balanced tonal response. Chrome hardware, black binding, and the unmistakable Fender headstock tie the design together with a modern yet classic flair.
