Pugilist V2 Distortion
The Fender Pugilist V2 is an analogue distortion pedal designed to deliver a wide range of gain sounds, from tight rhythm tones to high-gain lead sounds. Built around two independent gain engines, it allows each channel to be adjusted separately before combining them using either Blend or Series modes. This flexible design enables players to create layered distortion textures while retaining clarity and definition. Suitable for both guitar and bass, the Pugilist V2 offers extensive tonal control within a compact pedal format.
Each gain engine features its own Gain and Tone controls, making it possible to create contrasting distortion voices and combine them to suit different playing styles. The Blend control mixes the two channels together, while the Series mode cascades one gain stage into the other for increased saturation and sustain. A dedicated Bass Boost switch provides additional low-frequency response when required.
Dual gain architecture
The Pugilist V2 features two fully independent analogue distortion circuits with dedicated Gain and Tone controls for each channel. Players can blend the two voices together or run them in series to produce a broader range of distortion sounds from a single pedal.
Flexible tone shaping
Independent tone controls allow each distortion channel to be voiced individually, making it easier to tailor the pedal to different amplifiers and guitars. The Bass Boost switch adds extra low-end response for a fuller sound when required.
Pedalboard-ready design
The Pugilist V2 features selectable true or buffered bypass, relay-based auto-bypass if power is lost and compatibility with Fender Multiswitch functionality for latching or momentary operation. Top-mounted input and output jacks help maximise available pedalboard space, while the lightweight anodised aluminium enclosure is designed for regular use.
