Santa Ana Overdrive
The Fender Santa Ana V2 is an analogue overdrive pedal designed to deliver the touch sensitivity, dynamic response and headroom associated with a driven valve amplifier. Built around a JFET-based Class A circuit operating internally at 18V, it produces everything from light edge-of-breakup tones to rich, saturated overdrive while responding naturally to changes in picking dynamics and guitar volume. For both guitar and bass, the Santa Ana V2 offers a highly flexible drive platform with extensive tonal shaping.
At the heart of the pedal are two distinct overdrive voices, allowing players to switch between a tighter, more focused drive and a thicker, smoother lead sound. An independently switchable active 3-band EQ can be positioned before or after the drive circuit, giving precise control over how the pedal responds and how the final tone is shaped. This flexibility allows the Santa Ana V2 to cover a wide range of musical styles without compromising clarity or articulation.
JFET Class A overdrive circuit
The analogue JFET Class A drive circuit runs internally at 18V to provide increased headroom and a natural playing response. The pedal is designed to react to picking intensity and guitar volume changes in a similar way to a valve amplifier pushed into overdrive.
Independent active EQ
The active Bass, Middle and Treble controls provide comprehensive tonal shaping and can be switched before or after the drive circuit. Placing the EQ before the overdrive changes how the pedal clips different frequencies, while placing it afterwards shapes the finished overdriven sound.
Flexible performance features
The Santa Ana V2 includes selectable true or buffered bypass, relay-based auto-bypass when power is removed and support for Fender Multiswitch operation with both latching and momentary switching modes. Top-mounted input and output jacks help maximise available pedalboard space.
