Compressor effects pedal
The Fender The Bends V2 is an analogue compressor pedal that delivers smooth, low-noise dynamic control while preserving the natural feel of your playing. Designed for both guitar and bass, it uses a refined OTA (Operational Transconductance Amplifier) compression circuit that responds naturally to playing dynamics, balancing louder and quieter notes while adding sustain and body without sacrificing clarity. A rear-mounted Vintage switch allows you to change the pedal's character from transparent modern compression to a warmer, more coloured response with subtle natural saturation.
The intuitive control layout makes it easy to shape your sound. A three-position Attack switch, Release control and Input control determine how the compressor reacts to your playing, while the Blend control mixes your dry signal back into the compressed signal to retain natural dynamics and pick attack. An active Tone control with a centre detent allows treble to be boosted or reduced, helping to restore brightness or smooth the overall sound after compression.
Independent clean boost
The Bends V2 includes a separate ultra-clean boost circuit that can be placed either before or after the compressor using the rear-mounted Comp Pre/Post switch. Placing the boost before the compressor increases sustain and drives the compression harder, while placing it after compression provides a clean volume boost for solos or passages that need additional output.
Flexible performance features
Designed to integrate easily into modern pedalboards, The Bends V2 offers selectable true or buffered bypass, relay-based auto-bypass if power is lost, and Multiswitch-compatible footswitch operation with both latching and momentary modes. A dedicated compression LED provides a visual indication of when the compressor is actively processing your signal. Top-mounted input and output jacks help maximise pedalboard space.
Analogue compressor with selectable voicing
The Bends V2 uses an analogue OTA compression circuit optimised for low-noise performance. A rear-mounted Vintage switch changes the compression character from a modern, transparent response to a smoother, more coloured sound with subtle natural saturation.
