Fender Player II Modified Active Precision bass guitar
The unmistakable punch of a Precision Bass meets a much broader palette of modern sounds in the Player II Modified Active Precision Bass. Built around a P/J pickup arrangement, it can deliver the rounded, authoritative foundation associated with a P Bass and then add the detail and edge of a Jazz-style bridge pickup.
Discover its sound
The 18-volt active preamp provides generous EQ control for shaping deep lows, forward midrange or sparkling attack, while passive operation gives you a simpler alternative without abandoning tone shaping. It is an excellent match for players who move between rock, funk, pop and more demanding function-band sets.
Made to be played
The HiMass bridge, TUSQ nut and tapered-shaft tuners provide worthwhile working upgrades, while the comfortable Modern C neck and rolled fingerboard edges keep the feel familiar. This is a particularly compelling option if you love a Precision’s presence but wish it could cover a wider range of tones.
Available with maple or rosewood fingerboards depending on the selected colour; check the specifications for your chosen finish. The Modern C-profile maple neck has a satin finish on the back, and the 9.5-inch-radius fingerboard with rolled edges provides a comfortable, familiar feel.
