Fender Player II Jazz bass guitar
The Jazz Bass has earned its place on countless recordings by being able to sit deep in a mix one moment and cut through it the next. The Player II Jazz Bass keeps that familiar, comfortably contoured offset design while adding the smooth neck feel that makes long rehearsals and extended grooves a pleasure.
Discover its sound
With two Alnico V Jazz Bass single-coils, there is plenty to explore: favour the neck pickup for round, supportive low end, bring in the bridge for a focused midrange growl, or blend them for a balanced, articulate response. It is equally comfortable with fingerstyle, pick playing and punchier funk lines.
Made to be played
The full 34-inch scale provides the familiar feel and definition of a classic Jazz Bass. A four-saddle bridge makes individual-string adjustment straightforward, and the rolled-edge fingerboard helps the instrument feel welcoming from the first chord or run.
Available with maple or rosewood fingerboards depending on the selected colour; check the specifications for your chosen finish. The Modern C-profile maple neck has a satin finish on the back, and the 9.5-inch-radius fingerboard with rolled edges provides a comfortable, familiar feel.
