Spring Fever is an up-tempo piece featuring an extended solo for alto saxophone and an optional drum solo. It is explosive and exciting, and was the winner of the composition prize in the 1985 BBC Big Band Contest. It has been recorded by the Guildhall Jazz Band on their 'Midnight Oil' album.
