Introducing the Yamaha CG142S 4/4 solid spruce top classical guitar in natural gloss

This is a superb classical guitar tailored for budding fingerpickers and seasoned players alike. Building on the success of the popular CG122M model, the Yamaha CG142S represents an improvement in both form and function, ensuring that players can express themselves with confidence and clarity, whether they are exploring classical compositions or experimenting with their own unique style. It also features a classy gloss finish, a development from the matte of the GC122M.

Solid top, superior sound

Finely crafted, the CG142S boasts a solid spruce top, delivering a bright and powerful tone that's appealing for all players. The Nato back and sides, finished in a glossy sheen, not only enhance the guitar's aesthetic appeal but also contribute to its rich and full-bodied sound. A Nato neck paired with a rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth and comfortable playing experience.

Elegant design

This guitar has a simple and elegant looking design due to its smaller head-stock and rosette design, and has a solid rosewood bridge and fingerboard. These features give a lovely clarity to the depth of sound produced from the nylon strings as well as crisp sustain.

Ideal for guitar students

The rosewood fingerboard allows for smooth movement when changing chords and moving up and down frets, and the nylon strings make it a more gentle playing experience suited for beginner players. The solid spruce top design also allows you to produce a tone suited to students with its responsive sound. However, this model may be more suited to intermediates and even more advanced players, compared to the CG122M which is more ideal for a student.
