The Shure BLX288-PG58 is a complete dual-channel wireless microphone system supplied with two handheld transmitters, venues where two wireless microphones are required simultaneously. Combining Shure's trusted wireless technology with simple operation, the system delivers clear, dependable audio.
Built around the BLX88 dual-channel receiver, the system offers a cost-effective alternative to purchasing two separate wireless systems. Each BLX2 handheld transmitter is fitted with a Shure PG58 dynamic microphone capsule, providing natural vocal reproduction with excellent speech intelligibility. QuickScan frequency selection simplifies setup by automatically locating the best available frequency, helping schools and venues get up and running with minimal preparation.
The BLX288-PG58 allows two presenters, singers or performers to use wireless microphones through a single receiver. This makes it well suited for events where multiple speakers or performers need reliable wireless audio. The compact tabletop receiver is equally suitable for portable PA systems or permanent AV installations.
Each handheld transmitter incorporates a Shure PG58 dynamic microphone capsule, engineered specifically for speech and vocals. The cardioid pickup pattern focuses on the intended sound source while reducing unwanted background noise, helping to improve clarity in busy school halls and performance spaces. An integrated spherical pop filter also helps reduce breath noise and plosive sounds during speech and singing.
The BLX88 receiver features one-touch QuickScan frequency selection, allowing it to automatically identify the clearest available operating frequency when interference is detected. The handheld transmitters provide up to 14 hours of operation from two AA batteries and offer an operating range of up to 100m in typical conditions. LED indicators display battery and operating status, while an adjustable gain control and transmitter lock function help ensure reliable day-to-day use. The receiver provides both balanced XLR and unbalanced 6.3mm jack outputs for straightforward connection to mixers and PA systems.
Please note: A valid wireless microphone licence is required to operate this system in Channel 38.
